THE Under-Secretary of State for India presents his compliments to the Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, and, by direction of Lord George Hamilton, forwards herewith, for the information of the Secretary of State, copy of inclosures in a letter from the Foreign Secretary, Simla, dated the 23rd April, relative to Burmah-China frontier affairs.

LITTON telegraphs: "Two military officials left here in order to investigate north unsettled frontier. If they trespass provisional frontier, recommend you to arrest them, or at least to telegraph strong protest."

He has been asked to telegraph any information available as to precise locality Commissioner of Mandalay will also procure any military officials will visit. information possible as to their movements, which will be communicated to you.
